St Ives is set to be In Bloom again, with the spring seeing the first meeting for 2012 of the St Ives In Bloom Group. This group has been building over the last few years, with volunteers working together to bring about improvements in a number of areas already in St Ives and Carbis Bay. Volunteers will be meeting to discuss growing plans for the coming season and anyone with an interest can come along.
Bill Fry, chairman of the group, said that ‘ We hope to welcome familiar faces and plenty of new ones too! Whether someone would like to help with an existing planting scheme or have a spot in mind that’s in a public area and could do with a dash of floral colour, the In Bloom group are here to work together, making sure that the St Ives area remains a beautiful place to live, work and visit’.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday 15 February at 6.00 pm at the Guildhall, - all welcome.
