DOG FRIENDLY BEACHES IN ST IVES, CARBIS BAY AND LELANT
St Ives has always welcomed responsible dog owners and the town council appreciates the valuable role that dogs play in many people’s lives.
A careful balance has been stuck in the St Ives area with the aim of enabling dog owners to enjoy the area’s beaches, while restricting dog access to the main bathing beaches during the busier holiday months.

RESULT OF DOG CONSULTATION
The meeting scheduled to be held on Wednesday 17 October 2012 has been postponed until Wednesday 24 October 2012 (7.30pm in the Council Chamber, St Ives Guildhall.)
The meeting has a single item agenda – having carried out public consultation on the proposed Beach Dog Control Orders, the committee will decide on the recommendation to be put to the town council
The consultation generated a significant volume of consultation responses and evidence presented, much of it at the end of the consultation period, and so in the interests of ensuring full and fair consideration to this matter, the meeting is being rescheduled.
The report to committee and associated documents are availabe to view - click here
