St Ives Town Council is continuing in its commitment to work with all the areas it covers, including Lelant, Carbis Bay, Halsetown and St Ives. On Monday 18 June it is the turn of Carbis Bay to feature in the spotlight, with the Carbis Bay Memorial Hall being the venue of the next Open Forum meeting, closely followed by an Open Forum meeting at Lelant Village Hall on Friday 22 June.
The Open Forum meetings give a chance for local residents to come along and discuss with town councillors any issues, wishes or priorities for the area. It’s one of a number of ways that people can let the town council know what is important to them, so that the town council can take action to help wherever it can. The meetings are informal and can be just as much about finding out what the town council does - as well as bringing your thoughts and concerns, why not also raise any questions you may have. Previous meetings in the various areas have raised any interesting variety of topics and councillors look forward to discussing issues old and new with local residents.
The meetings are open to anyone to attend and you will be assured of a warm welcome and hopefully a lively and interesting discussion.
These meetings are an addition to the scheduled meetings of the town council and its committees which are also open to the public for public speaking set aside at the start of each meeting.
