LELANT REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY - 13 NOVEMBER 2011

LEST WE FORGET:  Ward members of St Ives Town Council and Cornwall Council where among those who stood in silence for two minutes at 11am on Remembrance Sunday to remember those from the village who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country’s freedom.  Laying the wreath on behalf of the Town Council is Deputy Mayor Councillor Colin Nicholls who earlier at St Uny Parish Church during morning service placed a wreath against the memorial inside the church.  The service there was led by the vicar Reverend Tony Shepherd, later Councillors joined the service and the procession from St Ives Parish Church.
