 TOWN MAYOR FOR 2011/2012 TO BE ELECTED AN ANNUAL MEETING
 

At the Council meeting on 10 March, Councillor Ron Tulley was declared as having been selected for election as Mayor for the coming year.  His name will be submitted to the Annual Council meeting on 16 May 2011 where the formal election will take place.

Councillor Tulley who represents South Ward is a member of the Green Party and has been a town councillor for four years.  A retired school teacher he has lived in St Ives since 1997.  He is due to take over from Councillor Yvonne Watson at the Annual Meeting of the Council in May when he will be formally sworn in.  Councillor Watson (Lelant and Carbis Bay) has been the office of Town Mayor since May 2009.
